The Denizen Advantage

"Mia Giacomazzi knows how the government reads your case, and what it feels like to be on the other side of the process."

A denizen holds the rights of living and working in a country not their own. Our name is our mission: to help people belong, wherever they build their lives.

Founder and Managing Attorney Mia Giacomazzi is a former federal immigration prosecutor with 20 years across immigration law, federal prosecution, and private practice, and a dual U.S. and E.U. citizen living abroad herself. She grew up in California farm country, where immigrant workers kept operations running.

"I started Denizen to do this work the way I think it should be done: a small client roster, direct access to your attorney, and an individualized immigration strategy for each client."

For employers, that means keeping the workforce whole season after season: H-2A and H-2B programs, TN and H-1B visas, PERM and employment-based green cards, plus B-1 business visitor visas and consular processing for the trips in between. For families and individuals, it means the same attention on I-130 petitions, adjustment of status, and consular processing for immigrant and visitor visas. And for everyone, it means compliance built in from day one: audit-ready files, records producible in 24 to 72 hours, and a former prosecutor at your side if the Department of Labor, USCIS, or ICE comes calling.

Our team, like our clients, is located across the globe, so someone is working on your matter around the clock. Mia is based in Amsterdam and reachable from wherever you are.
